Home/Riding & Horsemanship

Horsemanship Comes First

We believe confident riders are built from the ground up. Students learn to groom, lead, tack and understand their horse before riding becomes the focus. In the saddle, instruction is individualized, practical and built around creating capable riders — not simply passengers.

Skills They Can See Themselves Building

Structured riding and horsemanship with visible skill progression, so a young rider always knows what they are working towards and what comes next.

Lessons are supervised throughout, and time with the horses happens alongside an instructor rather than independently.

You Are Not Too Old to Start Riding

Plenty of people arrive here having wanted to ride their whole lives and never found the moment. Others rode as children and have not sat in a saddle in thirty years. Both are welcome, and neither is unusual.

Adult lessons are taught privately or in small groups, without an audience of teenagers on push-button ponies. We start with the horse on the ground, and we go at the pace you actually want.

Most adults are riding confidently within a season. Some stay at a lesson a week for years because it is the hour that belongs to them.
